Microstructural evolution of 6061 aluminium alloy subjected to static and dynamic compression at low temperature

Abstract In this research, an effect of low temperature on the mechanical properties and microstructure 6061-T6 aluminium alloy (AA6061-T6) subjected to static dynamic loading was investigated systematically. The specimens were compression at − 80°C in a range strain rates from 0.001 0.1 1/s under conditions, 1250 3400 conditions compare their responses. deformation mechanisms discussed based EBSD analysis.
